The stated purpose of the Columbia Historical Society is to contribute to the quality of life in "Old" Columbia, Alabama by preserving, learning from, and celebrating our town’s long and fascinating history while working to shape its future.

Our goal is to support the preservation of the historical landmarks of Columbia, AL through the revitalization of “Old Columbia”.
